Description

I'm looking for a designer and writer to redesign an ~8-page policy brief as a magazine-style document. The brief proposes an EU law amendment to mandate disclosure of animal-derived ingredients in medicines, including species origin. It will be read by Members of the European Parliament. It is already structured with evidence, citations, and a formal response from the European Commission. The redesign should improve visual hierarchy, add supporting graphics or infographics, and refine the writing for clarity and impact. All existing materials are available at medicinetransparency.eu.

Our mission

Medicine Transparency is an independent EU campaign with one specific objective - to require medicines labelling to disclose the origin of animal-derived ingredients. Current EU leaflets list excipients by name but not source, so patients and clinicians cannot determine whether gelatine is pig, cow, or fish-derived, or whether ingredients like glycerol and magnesium stearate are animal, plant, or synthetic in origin. This affects anyone whose ethical, religious, or dietary commitments shape what they are willing to take, including Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, vegans, and vegetarians. We are not calling for reformulation (yet). We are calling for disclosure, using short, standard labels in existing product information.
