Terms of Service

Flockwork is a program of Vegan Hacktivists, Inc., a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Delaware. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Flockwork platform and website (“Flockwork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Flockwork, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Overview of the Platform
Flockwork is a volunteer matchmaking platform that connects individuals with nonprofit organizations. Some opportunities may include stipends or financial support, but Flockwork does not manage or process payments between parties.
2. Eligibility and Account Requirements
You must be at least the minimum legal age in your country (and no younger than 18 years old) to create an account. Users from countries restricted under U.S. law for 501(c)(3) interactions are not eligible. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements and agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information.
Both volunteers and organizations are subject to an approval process. We reserve the right to accept or reject applications at our discretion.

3. Matchmaking and Communication
Users may not message each other directly through the platform unless matched. Flockwork facilitates initial introductions but does not participate in or monitor off-platform communication.
4. No Background Checks
Flockwork or Vegan Hacktivists, Inc. does not conduct background checks on volunteers or organizations. We recommend that both parties perform their own due diligence before proceeding with any collaboration.
5. Code of Conduct
All users agree to:
- Treat others with respect and professionalism
- Not use discriminatory, harassing, or hateful language
- Not impersonate others or misrepresent their affiliations
- Refrain from spamming or soliciting commercial services
6. Acceptable Use
You may use Flockwork only for lawful, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Use scraping, bots, or other automated means to access the site
- Collect information about other users without consent
- Interfere with platform functionality or security
- Reproduce, sell, or exploit any part of the service without permission
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the platform (excluding user-submitted content) is the property of Vegan Hacktivists, Inc or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without express permission.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Flockwork at any time, without notice, for any behavior that violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed harmful to the community.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Flockwork is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any match or opportunity.You acknowledge and agree that:
- We are not responsible for the outcome of any volunteer placement
- We do not guarantee that a match will be made or that all users will be accepted
- We disclaim liability for any disputes, harms, or losses arising out of your use of the platform
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Delaware.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Flockwork after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
