Description

Animal Defense Partnership (ADP) provides free legal services to nonprofit organizations working to protect animals and advance plant-rich food systems. We are looking for a social media and communications volunteer to help us share our work, educational resources, client successes, and perspectives from across the animal protection movement. This is a hands-on role combining social media, visual content creation, content development, and coordination. ADP already has established branding, communications priorities, and a substantial body of content. We are looking for someone who can help turn that material into engaging content and move projects from concept through publication. Responsibilities may include: • Drafting and scheduling social media posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook • Creating graphics using ADP's existing Adobe Express templates • Repurposing articles, webinars, legal resources, and client updates into social content • Developing copy from interviews, written responses, or background materials • Coordinating with clients, partners, or featured individuals to gather information, refine content, and obtain approval before publication • Maintaining a communications calendar and helping promote webinars, resources, and organizational milestones • Tracking basic social media performance We are particularly looking for someone with strong social media and visual content skills. Experience creating social media graphics and working with Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook is especially valuable. We primarily use Adobe Express, although experience with Canva or similar tools should translate easily. The ideal volunteer is also a strong writer and editor, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating professionally with clients and other outside organizations. Experience with nonprofit communications, interviewing, or editorial work is a plus. All content will be reviewed and approved by ADP's Executive Director before publication. As the volunteer becomes familiar with ADP's voice, work, and audience, they may take increasing responsibility for developing and managing communications projects. We anticipate approximately 3–5 hours per week for an initial six-month period. The work is remote and largely asynchronous. This is an opportunity to use social media and communications skills to support the broader animal protection movement ADP serves.
