Description

Ventura County Voters for Animals is running our first-ever candidate scorecards across the 8 cities in our county — rating local candidates on how animal-friendly they are, so voters can make informed choices at the ballot box. We're looking for a designer to turn those scorecards into clean, print-ready leaflets — one per city (fewer if some cities don't return responses). We'll provide all the scoring and content; you'd focus on making it clear, credible, and easy to read at a glance. This is a great fit if you like purpose-driven design with real-world impact: these leaflets go directly into voters' hands and could genuinely shape which officials get elected. We're a 100% volunteer-led group working to pass animal-friendly legislation locally — things like glue trap bans and pet-inclusive housing. Our mission

We are working to educate local voters about how animal-friendly their candidates are. On the local level, people are less interested in which political party someone is affiliated with, and we hope this will give us a chance to elect officials who are more supportive of animal issues. After the election we'll be lobbying to pass legislation such as glue trap bans, pet inclusive housing initiatives, and more.
