Description

Animal Outlook has been conducting undercover investigations inside farms and slaughterhouses for more than 30 years. Our archive covers 50+ investigations across many species and facility types, and we can tell you exactly how, where and when the footage was filmed. Most animal advocacy social media accounts can’t say that, and it gives us real power to hold the industry accountable. Right now most of that archive sits unseen. We’re looking for a social media volunteer to help us turn it into a steady stream of short clips that bring footage from only a few years ago, back to life. You’d work with our communications team, who will provide the footage, context and key facts for each investigation. We’re open to your ideas on process, including using AI tools to speed up drafting, repurposing and scheduling, as long as a human reviews everything before it goes out. Good fit if you have experience with short-form video editing or social content planning, and a strong sense for what makes people stop scrolling. Please note the footage involves farmed animal cruelty, so you’ll need to be comfortable viewing and working with difficult material.

Our mission

Animal Outlook is a national nonprofit working to end the exploitation of animals in agriculture. Since 1995 we have exposed what happens behind closed doors through undercover investigations, held companies and regulators accountable through legal advocacy, helped farmers move away from animal agriculture through our Farm Transitions program, and inspired people to choose a vegan lifestyle through outreach. This project supports that mission by putting our investigations archive to work. The footage and findings we’ve gathered over three decades are among the most credible evidence of how animals are treated in the food system, and we want many more people to see them.
